Prismacolor is excited to announce the Colored Pencil Art Contest! Create an original piece of artwork using colored pencils* and enter for a chance to have your artwork on Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil packaging and win assorted Prismacolor Colored Pencil product gift packs.
Grab your favorite set of colored pencils and unleash your creativity. Upload your artwork to the Contest Tab on the Prismacolor Facebook page from now through December 31st, 2011. The top five entries (chosen by Prismacolor) will then be voted on by the members of the Prismacolor Facebook community and the winning entry will be announced in January 2012.

FAQ’s about the Contest:
Q: If I submit Artwork to enter the contest, but do NOT win the Grand Prize, do I forfeit all my rights to the Artwork?
A: No. All contestants, other than the Grand Prize Winner, will retain ownership of their artwork.
Q: If I am selected as the Grand Prize winner, do I still have an ability to make and sell prints, copies, etc. of my winning Artwork?
A: Yes. The Grand Prize winner will (in addition to the Grand Prize) have the right to reproduce and sell copies, prints, etc. subject to “reasonable limitations” – lawyer speak meaning no competitive usage or other usage that would be detrimental to the Prismacolor brand – even though the Grand Prize Winner’s entry will be assigned to Prismacolor (that is, Sanford L.P.) so that Prismacolor may feature the Artwork on its product packaging, website, etc. Of course, see the Rules (PLEASE HYPERLINK TO RULES) for further details.
Q: How many entries can I submit?
A: Limit one Entry per person/email address
Q: If I decide to withdraw my entry, can I ?
A: Of course! Please send an email to Prismacolor.USA@gmail.com with your name and the name of your submission and we will be sure to delete your entry prior to the end of the contest.
Hi Prismacolor, why is voting live on the contest right now if it says in the rules that voting doesn’t start til January 16th?

The Vote Buttons on the entries are for artists to be able to to engage with our campaign and their peers during the submission period by giving a thumbs up/down to the submissions. The thumbs up/down is designed for entertainment only, it is not voting to determine the winning submissions. The actual on line voting will take place from at 12:00:01 a.m. CT on January 16th, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CT on January 25, 2012 (The Voting Period), as per the rules.

I’ve been looking through the rules, but I can’t seem to find any dimension specifications. What size should the artwork be? Or does it not matter?

I was wondering if the winners for the contest have been notified yet. I recently moved and hope that my current address has been updated in time, just in case.
