    Great….. someday I’ll buy the 200 set….. I hope.

  2. I’m looking forward to trying the new colors!
On another note, when will you expand the color pallet of your Prismacolor Premier Fine Line Markers?

    • Jennifer Buck /

I second this motion! Please come out with more colors of Fine Line (size 005) markers. I’ve resorted to buying the horrible Copic fine liners (which have terrible tips and cost over three times as much) because they have a gray and an olive green (which really looks more like a forest green, but at least it’s a good plant color). Yours are so much better, if only you had more colors! Kudos to you for offering two shades of brown.

      • These are my absolute favourite! I wish I could get a two huncred marker set in the 005 size. The artwork I do is mostly of very fine lines and I wish I could find more of these. Prismacolor, please make more!!!

I would like to know exactly the color numbers that are new. My sister has ALL the colors and I would like to surprise her with some of the new 44 colors. Could you give me some help??

Love the additional selection. Will you be extending your line of fine line markers as well? I’d love additional colors in the fine line markers as I use a lot of them.

Ohhhhhhh! I want the 200 set! I am hoping to ask for them for Christmas!!!

  7. Looks like a lot of fun! Thanks, Mary

  8. Yes, will you be making any more colors of your fine line markers? Micron’s kicking your butt.

  9. This is gr8 I cant w8 2 try them, but I wish they sold blades for the Prismacolor pencil sharpeners I have over 100 pencil sharpeners with dull blades…..:(

Yay! I have a lot of Copic-snob friends who won’t even try Prismacolors because Prisma markers aren’t refillable. They actually think Copics are cheaper in the long run, but think about this: how many colors will you ever use up? Maybe a few of your very favorites, but not the vast majority of them. I can buy three or four new Prismas for the cost of one Copic with refill. Plus, Prismas seem to hold more ink. (They’re longer.)

The other argument my friends use is that Copics have more colors. So what? Prismacolor has BETTER colors, especially with the new lighter blending mates. For example, most of Copic’s “violets” are either a washed out pink, or they are grayish and muddy looking – some actually look brown! Nobody makes enough good purple shades, but at least Prisma can make a few that don’t look like grandma’s dirty laundry.

I have about an equal number of Copics and Prismas. My judgements are based on actual experience with both lines of markers. I like them both, but Prismas are my favorites, even if the company is not as good at brainwashing customers into spending ridiculous amounts of cash. I’m tired of the insanity, so I’m glad to see Prisma is finally starting to fight back.

Does anybody know where I can find a Prismacolor color chart that I can print out? I’m looking for an uncolored marker chart made up of boxes that you color in yourself. It helps you manage your marker collection, so you don’t end up buying the same color twice.

      Hi Jennifer-

The color charts for the 44 new colors, as well as others, are within the FAQ page at Prismacolor.com.

The blog was mostly about colored pencils – love those too and would love to find a color chart for them as well.

The only brush marker color chart I found did not list all the colors – just the new ones. Also, it was not the kind that allows you to fill in the boxes yourself. Thanks though. =)

I searched all over for a color chart listing all the colors in a neat one-page diagram. If such a chart exists, it’s impossible to find. Dick Blick lists most of the colors, but they’re shown in alphabetical order by name, which is not very helpful if, say, you’re looking for shades of blue. Plus, it’s a list, so it requires a lot of scrolling.

I finally made my own chart. The colors are divided into groups like “Greens” or “Browns” etc. Within each color group, the colors are listed in numerical order. The name of the color is also included, along with a swatch box that you can color yourself.

Anybody else want a copy of this chart? Perhaps the moderator would allow me to share my .pdf file?

      • Jennifer,
I would love a copy of your color chart of the 44 new Prismacolor fine markers.
        Thanks,
        Judi

Will you be coming out with a Dark Ivory or Neon colors in your soft (NuPastel) set? I like the Dark Ivory that Faber-Castell has, but your pastels blend better. Also, your pastels last longer.
