After School Matters to Prismacolor

We are PASSIONATE about artists and helping the next generation develop their passion for the arts here at Prismacolor and after learning about the Chicago-based program,  After School Matters and Gallery 37 last year, Prismacolor has excitedly teamed up with the charitable organization and had the pleasure of attending their Citywide Showcase at the Chicago Theater last Wednesday!

More than 200 students showcased work and the team was amazed by the passion and talent these young artists continue to exhibit- check out some of the student work and hear more about ASM and the event, here.

Take Note

I recently had the amazing opportunity to hit the road and head to Austin, TX for the  interactive portion of the 2012 SXSW festival as the representive of my beloved brand and rub elbows with some blogging and interactive big shots. To put it mildly-and honestly-  I walked around beautiful Austin essentially starstruck and amazed for four days. My most exciting gem of this excursion though, was discovering ImageThink, a visual note taking company that took the lectures to an entirely new level.

ImageThink is the ultimate visual tool and takes what is being said and records it, in real time, with pictures. Hello!

Watch your step!

3-D street art has been around for ages but has recently begun to gain increasing notoriety outside of the sidewalks where they delight and amaze onlookers. Thanks to the wonders of the world wide web  this art form and the talented individuals who create it are now becoming internet and global sensations!

Recently, with the help of Reebok, the Guinness World record for largest 3D Painting was set by  artist, Joe Hill, to create this behemoth of a painting in London’s Canary Wharf.

Take a leap with us to hear more about his awe-inspiring feat of athletic artistry.

Fall in Love with Leona

With the tagline “Keep Loving Leona” there is no better way to ring in this Valentine’s Day then an interview with the one and only Lauren Leonard, the fabulous designer behind Leona clothing.   Not only are her finished designs wearable fabric magic, but her sketches and designs are works of art in their own right.

Swoon along with me as  Lauren shares how she finds inspiration and why she chose Nashville as her fashion haven.
