Artist Interview with Mike Ramos

Art isn’t something that can be conjured up at the tip of a hat. It’s something deeper, something more meaningful, art is a representation of the artist.  What stands out in people’s minds and makes a lasting impression is art that is filled with inspiration.

Today’s featured Prismacolor artist is full of inspiration. Inspiration comes to him from anywhere, at any time, and drives him to create. His work has inspired us and that is why we want to share artist,  Mike Ramos, with you today.

Head in the Clouds

Diana is at it again! This time, our lovely Fine Art Consumer specialist has got her head in the clouds… literally. She attended a workshop by  artist, Priscilla Humay,  famous for her love, and expert depiction, of  that ol’ buttermilk sky.

It was an appropriately cloudy day for the  Chicago Colored Pencil Society of America Chapter # 103 when Priscilla Humay, Cloud Artist Extraordinaire, came to the Palatine Library, in Palatine, IL, for a special workshop.

Lessons Learned

I am one lucky duck today! A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of interviewing  landscape artist, Nina Weiss, and now we have a sneak peek into one of Nina’s workshops!  Prismacolor team member, Laura Ross, spent an entire  Saturday attempting to master Nina’s famous technique. She’ll argue, but we think she did a pretty amazing job!

Hear more about Laura’s first landscape lesson…
